They had limited resources, few people believed in them, and nothing about their first effort revealed how far they might eventually go Yet one thing was clearly present in their beginning: sincerity They gave their full attention even to the smallest task. They valued the few people who stood with them and made the best possible use of whatever resources were available. Instead of measuring their beginning against someone else’s success, they lived and enjoyed it With time, I watched those small efforts take a much greater form The change did not happen suddenly. One small task completed with care each day, one step taken with full effort, and faith maintained through difficult moments, all gradually became the foundation of something significant People are often afraid to begin because their beginning appears too small. After seeing the achievements of others, they may start considering their own first effort insignificant. They want their beginning to look like a destination But the purpose of a beginning is not to look impressive. Its purpose is to move you forward Do not feel embarrassed by a small beginning. Do not compare it with someone else’s destination. Begin with whatever you have today, and bring your full effort, sincerity, and genuine belief to it Notice your beginning, learn from it, and enjoy it. It may appear to be a small effort today, but Allah knows best what form your faith, hard work, and consistency may give it tomorrow Keep doing small things with wholehearted effort Do not be afraid of a small beginning. Great journeys are often built from steps that very few people value at first — Hanifa’s Diary
