Title: The Door That Taught Me a Lesson
Some of the most precious lessons of life come from moments we remember from our childhood. One such memory that I will always cherish is a little childhood experience I had with my Abuji. I was very young and was playing inside the grilled corridor at my grandfather’s home. The grill had a door, and while playing, I accidentally locked it. I was all alone inside, and there was no one with me who could open the door. My Abuji was standing outside. Instead of getting worried or panicking, he calmly looked at me through the grill with a loving smile. He called me closer to the door and started guiding me in a playful and gentle way. He told me to lift the door a little, then move it towards the right and then towards the left. I followed his instructions slowly and carefully. After a few attempts, the door finally opened, and I was no longer locked inside. Although I was too young to fully understand what had happened, this little moment stayed with me. As I grew older, I realized that my Abuji had taught me a very important lesson that day: when we listen to the guidance of our elders, even difficult situations can become easier. Their experience can show us doors that we may not be able to find on our own. His calmness taught me that we should not lose hope when we face a problem. Instead, we should listen, stay patient, and trust the people who guide us with love. Today, I cherish this childhood memory because it reminds me of my Abuji’s love, patience, and wisdom. It also reminds me that the small moments of our lives can leave behind the biggest lessons. As I continue to grow, I want to carry his advice with me and value every moment I have with him. I wish that the prayers and blessings of my Abuji always keep opening good doors and beautiful opportunities for me throughout my life. Ameen.
