Title: Learning To Love Beyond Myself

There was a time when my days belonged entirely to me. I had my own plans, my own time and my own Freedom. My responsibilities were there, of course, but they were manageable. And then I became a mother. Suddenly, one little human being became dependent on me for almost everything. My sleep, body, priorities, routine and even the meaning of the word “TIRED” changed. There are feeds to remember, appointments to keep, tiny cries to understand, and countless little responsibilities that nobody sees. Sometimes I am eating a meal that has already gone cold & realize that hours have passed and I haven't even had a moment to ask myself, “How am I doing?” Honestly, there are days when I miss the woman I used to be. I miss uninterrupted time and the freedom to do something simply because I wanted to. Motherhood has taught me that love is not always grand or beautiful. Sometimes it is waking up for the fifth time at night, sitting beside a crying child, even when you don't know how to make the tears stop, or simply being there. No applause. No audience. No one keeping track. Just you, quietly giving pieces of yourself to the people you love. I am still learning how to balance being a mother, a wife, a homemaker, and a woman who still has dreams of her own. Some days I feel strong, overwhelmed, incredibly grateful and some times I simply want five minutes of silence. I can be a devoted mother and still need time for myself. These things do not make me ungrateful. They make me human. I'm not losing who I was, but slowly discovering who I am becoming. A person who has learned that missing your old life does not mean you love your new life any less. For now, I am choosing to cherish these little years, the tiny hands reaching for me, the sleepy cries, the smiles that make everything worthwhile, and the privilege of being the person my daughter needs most. One day, she will need me a little less. And when that day comes, I hope I will gently find my way back to myself, not as the woman I used to be, but as a new woman shaped by Love, Sacrifice, Gratitude, and Motherhood. For now, I am her mother. And honestly, there is no title I am more grateful to carry !! ❤️ ghl-caption The Woman I Was, The Mother I Became!
